"Andréas Godsäter is a PhD-candidate in Peace and Development Research at the School of Global Studies, University of Gothenburg, Sweden. He received his MSc in International Relations in 2004. His research interests include regional integration, civil society and development co-operation with a special emphasis on East and Southern Africa. Andréas Godsäter is a member of the Network of Excellence GARNET, Global Governance, Regionalisation and Regulation: The Role of the EU, funded under the European Commission’s 6th Framework Programme and active in the Jointly Executed Research Project on The Role of Non-State Actors and Civil Society in the Global Regulatory Framework. He is also a participating researcher in the international research programme International Democracy Watch, coordinated by the Centre for Studies in Federalism in Italy, with responsibility for studying the development of democracy in SADC.
