The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) was formed on 5 December 1982 and is the largest recognised collective bargaining agent representing workers in the Mining, Energy and Construction industries in South Africa. We are the largest affiliate of COSATU and have offices in all the South African provinces. Internationally we are affiliated to the ICEM.
