I studied sociology concentrating on environmental sociology in South Korea. As a Marxist my main interest is the relationship between Capitalism and the environment. My doctoral thesis was titled “Environmental pollution and environmental inequality in capitalism. This study focused on environmental pollution and environmental inequality related to the industrial activity of POSCO Steel in Gwangyang city, South Korea.
