Mvuselelo Ngcoya is a PhD candidate in International Relations at American University in Washington, D.C. His dissertation explores ubuntu and its potential alternatives to neoliberal economic globalization in South Africa. Until January 2006, Mvuselelo was a program associate at Africa Action in Washington D.C. Prior to that, he coordinated the Social Movements Program at the Center for Economic Justice (CEJ), where he helped strengthen collaboration with social justice movements in Latin America. A former school teacher, Mvuselelo holds degrees in Political Science and African Politics from the University of South Africa (UNISA)
