Mapping Water/Sanitation Services in KwaNyuswa, Valley of 1000 Hills, 21 May

Speaker: Thuli Hlela
Date: Tuesday 21 May 2013
Time: 12:30-14:00
Venue: CCS Seminar Room, 602, 6th Floor, MTB Tower, Howard College

Topic:
This seminar will address sanitation and household water problems in the low-income areas of KwaNyuswa and nearby sites in the Valley of 1000 Hills. Many reject the municipality's inadequate Urinary Diversion toilets. Other service delivery protests are common in these communities. Their geographical interconnection is also important.

Presenter:
Thuli Hlela is a CCS Dennis Brutus Community Scholar and a community activist. She is part of the Antipode Research team mapping service delivery in Durban.
