Topic: The Warsaw Conference of the Parties 19 to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change lasted from 11-23 November. The event was such a disappointment that not only did 132 countries offer a formal rejection of the North's failure to cut emissions and acknowledge climate debt, but the main civil society lobby groups inside walked out in disgust on the penultimate day, inspired by a call from African activists.
Speaker: Mithika Mwenda is a Kenyan socio-environmental activist who founded the PanAfrican Climate Justice Alliance in 2008. PACJA has more than 500 members across Africa.
