In the wake of the 2018 South African budget speech, which The Minister of Finance has promised will be a tough one for ordinary people, the CCS and POWERFEST kick off the 2018 documentary screening series with 97% OWNED - a seminal documentary film that explains what we really need to know about money and the money system.

“97% Owned” explains the role and power of money creation in our economic and financial system. It reveals the social implications of money creation both on a local and global level. The film shows how a change in the money system can bring about a
more equal and democratic society.”
