Miss Andisiwe Dlamini is a former Research Assistant at CCS for the year 2022. Her research focused on the impact of the Covid-19 and lockdown on the Cato Manor residents in Durban. The research further looked at the use of the social grants and the SRD Grant (R350) during the lockdown era. The research formed part of her Masters Dissertation. At the Young Civil Society Debate held by CCS in September 2022, Andisiwe led the team that argued against the implementation of the proposed Basic Income Grant for South Africa. In May 2023, Andisiwe obtained the Master of Social Sciences in Development Studies degree. She also holds a Bachelor of Social Science Honours (Political Science)degree and a Bachelor of Arts ( Philosophy, Politics and Law )degree, all obtained at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Her research interests are in the fields of sustainable development, social policy, political economy, leadership and governance
