Andries Motau’s project is on Life after Coal which is a joint venture between three NGOs EarthLife Africa, GroundWork and Centre for Environmental Rights. All of these organizations are passionate about environmental protection. In the Life After Coal campaign the organizations are advocating that South Africa must do away with its plan to invest in more coal infrastructure and to start transitioning into renewable energies. Andries will be looking at the role that NGOs and Civil Society play in environmental protection. He is passionate about environmental protection and this campaign just stands out as a major contender for prominent environmental justice campaigns.
