Nthuseng Nakin is a CIMAC (crime analyst) intern at the South African Police Service (SAPS) in Kokstad. Her previous positions before joining the SAPS include being a mentor and a psychology tutor at UKZN and then she was a research assistant under the School of Built Environment and Development Studies at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She holds a Bachelor of Social Science degree majoring in Criminology and Forensic Studies and Psychology (UKZN), and a Bachelor of Social Science Honours in Psychology. Currently she is doing her Master of Social Science in Development Studies (UKZN) with her research interests being particularly on the Social Relief of Distress Grant that was introduced in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic onset. Miss Nakin is set to graduate in April 202
