Thandeka Hlongwane is a human rights activist from a small town called Howick in the Midlands of KwaZulu-Natal. She is driven by wanting to help others and being the change you want to see. Thandeka is currently the Provincial Chairperson for the Treatment Action Campaign (TAC) in KwaZulu Natal representing TAC at Provincial Civil Society Structures. She also serves in the Umgungundlovu District Aids Council as Deputy Secretary of the Youth Sector. She has gained many years of experience working for the Department of Social Development and NGOs such as Sibambiseni Community Based NGO, Right to Care and Friends for Life.
