Community Scholar Workshop
Rebuilding Civil Society Accountability: The Civil Society Monitoring Forum

Facilitated by:
Mzamo Zondi – Treatment Action Campaign
Civil society organizations (CSOs) are confronting ever stricter limitations on their ability to operate, a phenomenon often referred to as ‘closing spaces’ for civil society work.
Currently so called ‘civil society’ spaces are mostly facilitated by government. In the same way as government bodies and private sector interests work together so too should civil society organisations in defence of autonomy and accountability.
This workshop brings together key civil society actors in KwaZulu-Natal to strategize for the building of stronger civil society spaces and platforms connected to peoples power.

Date: Tuesday 31 May 2022
Time: 10:00-12:00
Venue: Centre for Civil Society Seminar Room
Please note that social distancing requirements limit the number of participants at this workshop – invited participants only.
